Answer by Lisa S You will want an appraisal by a reputable service, and may be asked to provide a provenance…That is a detailed history of who owned the work, how long, etc. Without those, you might not be able to get the Better houses to even carry the work.
The provenance is essential…and must be verified.
You might call around and see who is willing to work with you—but most places will expect you to cover the appraisal etc yourself.
